Our Humble Beginning

The Berry Creek Rancheria of Maidu Indians of California started Gold Country Casino in 1996 with the Help of Viejas Band of Kumeyaw Indians.  At the time the Casino had 105 employees, 200 slot machines, and 6 table games.  In 2005 the Tribe decided to expand their business, and build a 7 story 87 room Hotel and Casino with 550 Employees, 900 slot machines, 13 table Games, Bingo Hall, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, a Gift Shop, and Entertainment Pavilion.  The Berry Creek Rancheria Gaming commission was able to provide support and guidance with regulatory knowledge every step of the way.
